Probably the best burger in town, BOYONG’s is a simple hole-in-the wall food outlet along E. Dela Paz in San Roque, Marikina. It is on the left side of the street about more than a hundred meters from the corner of J.P. Rizal and N. Roxas.
The grilled burgers (Half Pounder) are burgers to die for and is a delectable experience at an unbelievable price of only P90. A full stomach for below a hundred pesos? You bet!
Regular burgers can be had at only P30. Grilled cheeseburgers at only P35, Double Burger with Cheese P60.
I have not really been impressed with their pasta. I have tried two different varieties on two separate occasions and its been a let down each time. But the burgers are a totally different mouth-watering experience. It is worth the trip — from any point of the metropolis … even with rush hour traffic as an obstacle.
It is such a delight, you don’t need to add catsup and mustard. It is simply delicious as it is.
Will try out their other offerings like Hungarian Sausage, Grilled Chicken, Chicken Sandwich next time.
Drawbacks: Boyong’s has a couple tables and can only seat a few patrons at a time. Their share-of-sales would probably have a bigger proportion for takeout orders than dine-in.
Parking is also a problem, as you can see from the pictures. So, many of Boyong’s regular customers first call-in their orders then just pick it up at the appointed time. You may want to consider doing the same.
